The Lemon Tree An Arab, A Jew, And The Heart Of The Middle East
by Sandy Toban

How much do you know about the situation in Israel and Palestine? I knew very little. This is an essential read to learn about this century long struggle! It is not an easy read, so plan on spending a long time and definitely looking at the maps included.

The Extraordinary Life Of Sam Hell
by By Robert Dugoni

One of the best books I have ever read! Everyone needs to read this book

Dear Sweet Pea
by Julie Murphy

Sweet Pea (Patricia) wasn't prepared for parents to be divorced. But when she unexpectedly housesits for a newspaper columnist whose advice the town adores....Sweet Pea suddenly gets a chance to give advice. But is she going about it the right way? Great book dealing with not only middle school angst but family angst that needs to be addressed the right way.

Wonderful book. What a life Erin had and how she turned it around.

Fullmetal Alchemist Vol. 1
by Hiromu Arakawa

Finally getting around to reading this manga that's been around for more than 15 years! Brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric tried using alchemy to bring their deceased mother back and have paid the price! Both physically changed, but still very capable of dealing with the delectate yet powerful intricacies of alchemy. Great action and humor.

Black Science Premiere Vol. 1: The Beginners' Guide To Entropy
by Rick Remender

I've read the first story arc a few times but this one collects three story arcs. Grant, his kids, and other people on his team are teleported to an alternate world via the Pillar. But someone has tampered with the Pillar and now they're jumping randomly. Who sabotaged it? How can they can get back home? A lot of angst and moral dilemmas. Good stuff! Collects Black Science 1- 16.

Counting to Perfect
by Suzanne LaFleur

I borrowed this book for my grand daughter who is 12. But when previewing it, I thought the story about a 17 year old pregnant girl who runs away with her younger sister was too mature a subject matter for a 12 year old. But I enjoyed the story, maybe when my grand daughter is older I would recommend it for her.
